Mont-Saint-Michel

Second site touristique le plus visité en France après la Tour Eiffel, le Mont Saint Michel est situé en Normandie entre Saint-Malo et Avranches. Il est encore une île lors de marées hautes à forts coéfficients (un programme est en cours pour enlever le sable qui envahit actuellement la baie). C'est aussi une commune à part entière avec sa mairie et quelques habitants noyés au milieu des touristes. Lors de notre passage, ces derniers étaient peu nombreux, le mois de décembre est calme d'autant plus que le froid n'encourageait pas de telles visites... Les photos ci-dessous sont donc exemptes de touristes, ce qui est rare! Bien sûr, il faut visiter l'abbaye, impressionnante au sommet du mont, à partir de laquelle de belles vues sur la baie s'offrent à nous. The second most visited tourist site in France after the Eiffel Tower, is the Mont-Saint-Michel which is in Normandy between Saint-Malo and Avranches. It is still an island at high tide with strong coefficients (a program is underway to remove the sand which currently pervades the bay). It is also a fully-fledged village with a town hall and a few inhabitants drowned in the middle of the tourists. During our visit, they were only a few ones, the month of December is especially calm since the cold wasn’t good for the visits ... These photographs are often free of tourists, which is rare! Of course, you must visit the abbey, impressive at the top of Mount, from which fine views over the bay available to us. Az Eiffel torony után, a második leglátogatottabb francia hely a Mont Saint Michel, mely Normándiában, Saint Malo és Avranches között található. Jelentősebb dagály idején, a Mont Saint Michel egy sziget (folyamatban van a terv, hogy az öblöt ellepő homokot kikotorják). Ugyanakkor ez egy különálló település, saját önkormányzattal s néhány lakossal, akik fel sem tűnnek a turistaáradatban. Ottjártunkkor nagyon kevés turista volt, a december nyugodt hónap, a fagyos szél pedig elbátortalanította a legbátrabbakat is… A lenti képeken még csak nem is látni turistákat, ami igazán egyedülálló ! Érdemes megtekinteni a hegy tetején álló apátságot, ahonnan ráadásul gyönyörű kilátás nyílik a környező tájra.

Mais il convient absolument de prendre également le temps de se promener dans les ruelles adjacentes ou parallèles à la Grand Rue ou d'aller sur les remparts. Vous découvrirez ainsi aussi le village qui se cache derrière la façade touristique connue. Certaines maisons traditionnelles sont très belles et certaines ruelles sont pittoresques et très étroites! Some traditional houses are very beautiful and some streets are very narrow and picturesque! Ugyanakkor, semmiképp ne hagyjunk ki egy nyugodt sétát a kis utcácskákban, melyek labirintusként szövik be a zsúfolt szigetet. Igy ismerhetik meg igazán a települést, az igazit, mely a turista-színfal mögött bújik meg. Sok szép és régi ház látható itt, az utcák pedig néha annyira szűkek, hogy be lehet szorulni a falak közé !

L'abbaye est superbement conservée et est le fleuron de la visite du site. Construite progressivement du 8ème au 14ème siècles, elle fut occupée par des moines bénédictins qui l'ont agrandie au fil des siècles. L'île est devenue progressivement une place forte imprenable. Après la Révolution française, l'abbaye a été transformée en prison jusqu'à la seconde moitié du 19ème siècle. Ensuite, elle est devenue un monument historique et a été inscrite au patrimoine mondial de l'UNESCO en 1979. The abbey is beautifully preserved and is the jewel of the site. Built gradually from 8th to 14th centuries, it was occupied by the Benedictine monks who have enlarged it over the centuries. The island has become a stronghold gradually impregnable. After the French Revolution, the abbey has been transformed in prison until the second half of the 19th century. Secondly, it has become a historic monument and has been included in UNESCO's World Heritage in 1979. Az apátság rendkívül jól konzerválódott, s a látogatás fénypontja. A VIII. Es XIV. század között folyamatosan épült, bővült, s bencés szerzetesek lakták. A sziget sajátossága, hogy katonai szempontból bevehetetlen. A francia forradalom idején börtönné alakították, s az is maradt egészen a XIX. század közepéig. Majd emlékművé lett nyilvánítva, s 1979-ben a világörökség részévé lett.

Voici quelques vues prises lors de la visite avec le magnifique cloître, le réfectoire avec ses rangées de table, la salle des Hôtes avec ses grandes cheminées, la crypte des grands piliers (massifs), ... Here are some views taken during the visit : the beautiful cloister, refectory with its rows of tables, room guests with its large fireplaces, the crypt of the main pillars (massive), ... Ime néhány kép a csodás kolostorral, a refektóriummal (és a szépen sorba állított asztalokkal), a fogadóterem és annak kandallói, a nagy pillérek kriptája (nem igazi kripta)…

..., l'ossuaire où se trouve désormais une énorme roue qui permettait de monter des marchandises à l'abbaye, la chapelle Saint Etienne, le promenoir (la photo avec le point rouge au milieu), et enfin la salle des chevaliers (qui était le scriptorium des moines, avec ses nombreux piliers). ..., the ossuary welcome now a huge wheel that allowed somethings to rise at the Abbey, the chapel Saint Etienne, the walkway (the photo with the red dot in the middle), and finally the hall of the Knights (that was the scriptorium of the monks, with its many pillars). … az osszuárium (a halottak megmaradt csontjait itt tárolták), ahol ma már egy nagy kerék áll, amit az apátság az élelmiszer felhúzatására használt ; a Szent István kápolna, a sétáló (fénykép, egy piros ponttal a közepén), az oszlopokkal teli lovagterem (ami régen a szerzetesek szkriptóriuma volt, itt másolták a kódexeket stb.)
