Le TTVL est le train touristique de la vallée du Loir (au nord du département du Loir et Cher). Une association gère ce train, un ancien X2400 (automoteur) de la SNCF. Il faut encourager ce genre d'initiative qui permet de sauvegarder du matériel ferroviaire ancien, ainsi que des voies et des gares avec leur patrimoine environnant. The TTVL is the tourist train of the valley of the Loir (in the northern of the department of the Loir et Cher). An association manages this train which is an old X2400 (motorized) from the SNCF. It is necessary to encourage this kind of initiative which makes it possible to safeguard old railway material, as well as the railways and stations with their surrounding inheritance.
La promenade en automoteur dure 3h. Nous partons de la gare de Thorée la Rochette (entre Vendôme et Montoire sur le Loir) pour aller dans un premier temps vers l'est afin de voir passer quelques TGV sur la ligne à grande vitesse voisine (avec la présentation du record de 1991). Ensuite, le train repart vers l'ouest, repasse devant la gare de Thorée, puis traverse le tunnel blindé de Saint Rimay, la gare de Montoire pour enfin s'arrêter à la gare de Troo (charmant village troglodytique). The exit with the train lasts 3h. We leave the station of Thorée La Rochette (between Vendôme and Montoire sur le Loir) to initially go towards the eastern in order to see some TGV on the close high speed railway line (with the presentation of the record of 1991). Then, the train sets out again towards the western, passes by again in front of the railway station of Thorée, then crosses the armoured tunnel of Saint Rimay, the station of Montoire for finally stopping at the station of Troo (charming troglodytic village).
En revenant vers Thorée, nous nous arrêtons à la gare de Montoire où un exposé détaillé de la rencontre entre Pétain et Hitler en 1940 nous est donné (cette rencontre, organisée sous haute sécurité et à l'abri des regards des habitants de la ville, fut inutile pour les deux parties). Pendant tout le parcours, une bénévole de l'association commente, avec beaucoup de détails, les paysages et villes visibles depuis le train (nous avions même une traduction en polonais pendant le voyage!). La progression de l'automoteur est lente (20km/h) et permet de bien repérer ces lieux. During all the course, voluntary of association comments, with many details, the visible landscapes and towns since the train (we even had a translation in Polish during the travel!). The progression of the train is slow (20km/h) and makes it possible to locate these places easily.
Au retour à la gare de Thorée la Rochette, nous sommes invités à déguster (et à acheter à des prix raisonnables), des produits de la vallée du Loir (vins, fromages, miels, pâtés, rillettes, etc). At the return to the station of Thorée La Rochette, we are invited to taste (and to buy at reasonable prices), products of the valley of the loir (wines, cheeses, honeies, pies, rillettes, etc).
Ce fut une sortie vraiment sympathique (voire "géniale" pour reprendre un mot à la mode dans la vallée). Il faut aller voir ce train et encourager l'association dans son travail. La pluie abondante du mois de juillet a entraîné une détérioration de la voie. Sa réparation a empêché le train de fonctionner pendant ce mois (avec les conséquences financières attenantes pour l'association). Les voyages dans la vallée du Loir avec ce train sont organisés pendant tout l'été. Pour avoir des détails, il faut téléphoner simplement à la mairie de Thorée la Rochette au 02.54.72.80.82.
