Cosne-sur-Loire

Cosne-Cours-sur-Loire était notre camp de base pendant ces deux jours à la limite de la Bourgogne et de la Région Centre. La ville (11 000 habitants) est habituellement nommée plus simplement Cosne-sur-Loire voire Cosne tout court. L'appellation évoquée en introduction de ce message résulte de la fusion entre Cosne et Cours en 1973. Cosne-Cours-sur-Loire was our base camp during two days at the limit of the Burgundy and the Region Centre. The city is usually called simply Cosne-sur-Loire or Cosne. The name mentioned in the introduction of this message follows the merger between the French commune of Cosne and Cours in 1973.

Nous avons rapidement parcouru le centre-ville le dimanche, en fin d'après-midi. L'ambiance était très calme dans la cité. We quickly walked in the downtown late Sunday afternoon. The atmosphere was very calm in the city.
