Courçay, Truyes et Cormery

Depuis Cormery, il est possible de faire une promenade le long de l'Indre pour rejoindre Courçay puis revenir vers notre point de départ via Truyes, un village voisin de Cormery, séparé seulement de cette dernière commune par l'Indre. Voici quelques photos permettant d'avoir des vues de ces trois villages. Since Cormery, it is possible to go for a walk along the Indre river to join Courçay then to return towards our starting point via Truyes, a village close to Cormery, separate only of this last commune by the river. Here some photographs allowing to have sights of these three villages.

Courçay (700 habitants) est situé en amont de Cormery le long de l'Indre. Vous pouvez y découvrir un moulin et une église du 12ème siècle. Courçay (700 inhabitants) is located upstream of Cormery along Indre river. You can discover there a mill and a church from the 12th century.

Truyes a plus de 1700 habitants, l'église est du 11ème siècle. Il est possible de voir une exsurgence (fontaine) très dynamique de plus de 100L/seconde (voir la photo avec les marches de lavoir). La commune a également un beau prieuré et une ravissante chapelle. Truyes has more than 1700 inhabitants, the church is frm the 11th century. It is possible to see an exsurgence (fountain) very dynamic with more than 100L/seconde (see the photograph with the steps of laundrette). The village has also a beautiful priory and a charming vault.

Cormery (1500 habitants) est connue par les ruines de son abbaye du 8ème siècle. De nombreux touristes viennent les voir. Elle a été démolie par les Normands puis lors de la Révolution. Les bords de l'Indre sont très pittoresques ici.

Cormery (1500 inhabitants) is known because of the ruins of its abbey from the 8th century. Many tourists come to see them. It was demolished by the Norman then during the Revolution. The river of Indre is very picturesque here.
