Château de Talcy

Situé en Beauce dans la campagne, au nord-est de la Ville de Blois, Talcy est un château charmant qui mérite une visite. Located in the Beauce area in the countryside, in the North-Eastern of the city of Blois, Talcy is a charming château which deserves a visit.



Construit sur des bases médiévales (le donjon reste l'unique témoignage de cette époque), le château actuel est surtout du 16ème siècle. C'est un banquier, Bernard Salviati, qui l'a construit sous sa forme visible de nos jours. L'église du petit village (200 habitants) est "collée" au château. Dans le temps, il existait un passage entre les deux monuments. Le château a une architecture basique mais élégante. Depuis 1932, il appartient à l'Etat. Built on medieval bases (the keep remains the single testimony of this time), the current castle is especially from the 16th century. It is a banker, Bernard Salviati, who built it in its current form. The church of the small village (200 inhabitants) is stuck to the castle. In time, there was a passage between the two monuments. The castle has a basic but elegant architecture. Since 1932, it belongs to the State.

L'intérieur a conservé ses meubles d'origine (rare). Toutes les pièces sont donc très bien meublées et agencées. La salle à manger ainsi que le bureau sont les salles que nous avons le plus appréciées. The interior preserved his pieces of furniture of origin (rare). All the room are thus very well furnished and arranged. The dining room as well as the office are the rooms which we appreciated the most.

Après la visite, une promenade dans le jardin s'impose! Le château possède notamment un splendide colombier. Le jardin est fleuri et a un très beau potager avec de nombreux arbres fruitiers et des cucurbitacées. After the visit, a walk in the garden is essential! the castle has in particular a splendid dovecote. The garden is flowered and has a very beautiful kitchen garden with many fruit trees. On the other hand, there is not practically more wood to the property.

C'est une visite que nous avons appréciée. Le tarif de l'entrée est raisonnable : 8,10€ si vous incluez une visite commentée (5€ dans le cas contraire). It is a visit which we appreciated. The tariff of the entry is reasonable: 8,10€ if you include a visit with comments (5€ without them).
