Montrichard est une ville que je trouve très agréable. Les bords du Cher sont ravissants, la rue commerçante est dynamique, le reste de la ville est calme (important à mes yeux) et cerise sur le gâteau, un château médiéval surplombe la ville. En résumé, c’est avec plaisir que je déambule allégrement dans cette ville.
Le cinéma de Montrichard est associatif. Les locaux semblent avoir été rénovés très récemment et la salle est plaisante avec son beau plafond étoilé et les fauteuils sont vraiment très (trop ?) confortables.
Le film « The Holiday » (« les vacances » en français – pourtant pas difficile de traduire) est une histoire romantique classique. Résumé : Iris qui réside au Royaume-Uni (dans un village charmant, je dois reconnaître, l’Angleterre telle qu’elle correspond dans mes rêves – en dehors de Londres bien sûr) et Amanda qui habite à Los Angeles connaissent toutes les deux des soucis assez significatifs avec la gente masculine. Heureusement, c’est le début du film et deux heures ne seront pas de trop pour qu’elles trouvent et restent avec leurs Princes charmants outre-atlantique grâce à l’échange de leur logis pendant leurs vacances (d’où le titre du film). L’histoire est simple, mais on ne s’ennuie pas devant l’écran et les deux heures de projection sont vite passées… La bande originale du film est très réussie avec notamment un bel extrait d’Imogen Heap (Just for Now).

English version : Last Saturday, we went to see the film “The Holiday” in Montrichard in the Loir et Cher department, at fifteen minutes of road from Amboise. Montrichard is a city which I find very pleasant. The edges of the Cher river are charming, the commercial street is dynamic, the remainder of the city is calm (important to my eyes) and cherry on the cake, a medieval castle overhangs the city. In short, it is with pleasure that I saunter briskly in this city. The cinema of Montrichard is associative. The buildings seems renovated very recently and the room is pleasant with its beautiful spangled ceiling and the armchairs are really very (too much?) comfortable. The film “The Holiday” has a traditional romantic history. Summary: Iris who resides in the United Kingdom (in a charming village, I must recognize, England such as it corresponds in my dreams - apart from London of course) and Amanda who lives in Los Angeles know both of the rather significant problems with the male gente. Fortunately, it is the beginning of film and two hours will not be too long so they can find and remain with their charming Princes on the other side of the Atlantic thanks to the exchange of their home during their holidays (from where the title of film). The history is simple, but we are not bored in front of the screen and the two hours of projection quickly passed… The music from the motion picture is successful with in particular a beautiful extract from Imogen Heap (Just for Now).
