2 TGV à Saunay, en passant...

Voici à nouveau quelques photos de trains d'ici (cela faisait longtemps)...
Here are a few new photos of trains...

The TTVL is the tourist train of the valley of the Loir (in the northern of the department of the Loir et Cher). An association manages this train which is an old X2400 (motorized) from the SNCF. It is necessary to encourage this kind of initiative which makes it possible to safeguard old railway material, as well as the railways and stations with their surrounding inheritance.

The exit with the train lasts 3h. We leave the station of Thorée La Rochette (between Vendôme and Montoire sur le Loir) to initially go towards the eastern in order to see some TGV on the close high speed railway line (with the presentation of the record of 1991). Then, the train sets out again towards the western, passes by again in front of the railway station of Thorée, then crosses the armoured tunnel of Saint Rimay, the station of Montoire for finally stopping at the station of Troo (charming troglodytic village).

While returning towards Thorée, we stop at the railway station of Montoire where a detailed talk about the meeting between Pétain and Hitler in 1940 is given to us (this meeting organized under high safety was useless for the two parts).

During all the course, voluntary of association comments, with many details, the visible landscapes and towns since the train (we even had a translation in Polish during the travel!). The progression of the train is slow (20km/h) and makes it possible to locate these places easily.

At the return to the station of Thorée La Rochette, we are invited to taste (and to buy at reasonable prices), products of the valley of the loir (wines, cheeses, honeies, pies, rillettes, etc).

It was a nice exit. It is necessary to go to see this train and to encourage the association in its work. The abundant rain of July involved a deterioration of the railway. Repairs of this one prevented the train functioning for one month (with the contiguous financial consequences for association). The voyages in the valley of the Loir with this train are organized during all the summer. To have details, it is necessary to simply telephone to the town hall of Thorée La Rochette : 02.54.72.80 .82

Here some photographs of Rumanian trains taken at Lazarea in the evening. The photograph of trains is rather technical, it is necessary to avoid the back-light (the first photograph below made exception), the trains are obviously moving, it would have to be photographed in entirety, as well in height (including the wheels), as in length and should take approximately 33% minimum of the photograph. The Rumanian trains not being very fast, the photographer has time to prepare, it is the advantage!

The drivers were cool, they often made function the whistle to say hello! The railway is old (typical TAC/TAC is strongly audible), but the electric line is new.

On July 26 at 20h32, here a freight train going towards the northern of Lazarea:

It will stop in Lazarea station and will carry on its way towards the southern (photo taken on July 27 at 19h54):

The sun over the railway, this July 27:

And to finish, here the night train R943 Satu Mare - Mangalia whereas the light started to be weak for the camera. It is a train for the holidays ! Mangalia is a seaside resort in edge of the Black Sea near the Bulgarian border.

Benefitting to bein vacation on last Monday (July 9), I benefitted from it to continue my slow training in the photographs of trains…

Let us start with an anecdote on the railway line between Tours and Orleans at Nazelles-Négron (in the western of Amboise) with this mark indicating the level flood of the Loire river in 1856. Note that the river is at more than one kilometer of the ways at this place. Those would be more than one meter under water if a flod of this importance were to reproduce (and if the dams were to yield)…

Paris... At 9h19, here the BB 7294 with an Aqualys which is going to Blois, then Orleans,… Paris…

Then, a small passage by Chançay (in the northern of Saint Pierre des Corps) to take some TGV and in particular this duplex (more and more numerous on the Atlantic TGV railway) at 10h03 which went towards the Saint Pierre railway station…

Whereas employees where here to inspect the track 2, a small roe-deer took fear of their presence, it tried to go away, but the nettings of the LGV prevented it, then it went to the northern in top of the slope, not without to have again crossed the railways!

I am on the line between Tours and Vierzon at the village of Saint Martin le Beau where I could take the CC72084 (which drive the train of Rugby a few months ago in all Franceaà) at 18h48 with this very small train of freight. It should be noted that the electrification of the line is arrived there… In two months, it progressed of more than 32km towards the west, it is not more very far from Tours...

And here a last photograph taken at the railway station of Villeperdue (in the southern of Saint Pierre des Corps) showing a TGV going to the the south at 20h48 when the sun started to be rather low. A little fuzzy perhaps.

141R840

The beautiful 141R840 superbly restored by the association AAATV Centre /Loire Valley (based in Orleans) was today at the railway station of Amboise. Here some photographs to appreciate the beauty of this inheritance ferriviaire. It was manufactured in 1946 in the States.

Rame TGV Atlantique n°307

Here a photograph of an Atlantic TGV catch at the time of the excursion at Chançay (the high speed line crosses this commune).

This train goes in direction of Tours/Saint-Pierre des Corps this June 23 at 15h33. I don't know if it will stop at this railway station or if it will take the skirting of Tours. The line was built in 1991. In Chançay, and in Vouvrillon area in general, it passes proximity of important wine territories. This is why a tunnel was dug under under the vines of Vouvray.

CC 72004

You can see a photograph of the CC 72004 catch yesterday at Thésée (41) whereas the machine took along cereal coaches towards Vierzon.

The CC 72000 are the most powerful Diesel locos of the SNCF. They are built at the end of the Sixties and at the beginning of the Seventies by the Alsthom company in Belfort. Their maximum speed is of 140 km/h and their weight is 114 tons. The station of this engine is in Chalindrey (52).

In Touraine, they are visible between Tours and Le Mans, and between Tours and Vierzon. But for the electrification of this last line (which must be completed at the end of the year 2007), you can also see the recent installation of the pylons of the future overhead line. Nowadays, this one is arrived at 1 or 2 km more in the western of Thésée (towards Monthou on Cher).
